Some 12 kilometers from the Sword Lake, Bao son Paradise, a modern cultural tourism and entertainment park in Hanoi's Ha tay Province, will be inaugurated this Thursday.
Seen as the largest in Vietnam the park has required total investment capital of around US$55 million from Bao son Tourism and Construction Investment Joint Stock Co.
The park is a special complex comprising many sections like a villa zone, a playground with 16 kinds of game, a laser screen cinema, a water music stage and a water world, a traditional craft village, and other things of interest.
One of the most prominent features of the park is the 5,000 square-meter miniature of the ancient Hanoi City at the end of the 19th century. In the town, some 20 houses with old architectures are designed as shops selling traditional products along the streets.
Separated from other sections by a special gate like O Quan Chuong entrance, the town is a vivid cultural picture which reminds visitors of an ancient capital with street activities, food, and friendly residents.
In addition, visitors will have a chance to visit another special place stretching on 10,000 square meters where all aspects of 15 craft villages in Vietnam are featured.
All villages are both decorated with cottages, banyan trees, water wells, and temples but each one is characterized by a handicraft style even in its garden or interior decoration.
Visitors will find it interesting to see artisans working, and choose some products, as well as take part in the production process. All handicrafts there are popular in Vietnam, including Van Phuc silk, Phu Lang pottery, gemstone pictures, jewelry, and brocade.
The culinary section is also high-lighted at the Bao Son Paradise, comprising three different sites on 5,000 square meters. The first one is a stilt house with Vietnamese and Asian specialties next to a restaurant. Shore is still a rural market with 31 kiosks selling favorite dishes in the capital at the end of 19th century, such as pho, shrimp cake, rice paper with meat, sticky rice, and noodles.
Bao Son Paradise is also eco-tourist attraction. Visitors should not miss the wonderful world of a miniature ocean with two man-made mountains 35 high and covering 10,000 square meters. There are 2,000 species of fish and sea creatures, such as sharks, rays, dolphins and seals.
In the Ocean World, there will be dolphin and seal performances.
Located in the largest section of the park, the Royal Garden is an attraction. It is circled by a 20-meter-tall Buddha statue along with other arhats, many beautiful lakes with dragon and phoenix sculptures.
